Education Support Service
Help Handz Education support Service is established to promote the education inclusion of children and young people in care, SEND and SEN. We believe that every child matter and living in care or having special educational needs and disabilities, should not be reason for underachievement and that everyone should hold high aspirations for all children and young people.
What do we do?
- Help children and young people to develop the skills needed to progress in education and life
- Teach children and young people basic skills and core subjects
- Help children and young people to learn what they need to know for GCSE or other exams
- Help children and young people to be confident that they can behave in a positive way
- Plan and deliver teaching sessions following an agreed curriculum
- Re-engage children and young people if they have lost interest in education
- Improve their school attendance
- Help children and young people to be confident so that they can behave in a positive way
- Help children and young people to become more confident in different subjects or other exams
- Work with other professionals to support children and young people.
- Help children and young people go to school or college.

At Help Handz we work with children of all ages and abilities providing access to in or out of school educational tuition support and experiences that meet their needs.

Local authorities, schools and alternative education providers can purchase HELP HANDZ programmes to complement their own services.

- Help Handz helps commissioners meet the needs of young people through enabling targeted and cost-effective spending.
- Referrals can be made at any point in the year
- Spot purchase of service can be from 2 to 25 hours per week.
- From one week to over a year
- We can usually provide direct services within two days of referral
- Services commissioned through spot purchase have a seven-day notice period
Services can also be commissioned through comprehensive service contracts which address the needs of a number of children and also provide elements of consultancy and training.
